Angeline Boulley, an enrolled member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, is a storyteller who writes about her Ojibwe community in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. She is a former Director of the Office of Indian Education at the U.S. Department of Education. Angeline lives in southwest Michigan, but her home will always be on Sugar Island. Firekeeper's Daughter is her debut novel, and was an instant #1 NYT Bestseller.

Other details:
- Attendance is being capped at 100 (1/3 venue capacity), free event but registration required for each attendee, no on-site registration.
- The first 50 to register and attend the event will receive a copy of the FireKeeper's Daughter after the event, priority for those under the age of 18, and one book per household.
- All attendees will be required to wear an N95 or KN95 mask, if you do not have this type of mask, one will be provided for you.
- Please do not attend if you are not feeling well, have had COVID in the past 14 days or have been exposed to anyone with COVID.
